This past weekend, we headed to Brevard, NC to go camping with David and Erin. It was kind of like Erin's last fun weekend before moving to the Big Apple (we will miss her lots , but that just means we will need to go NYC to visit). We camped for 2 nights in the Pisgah National Forest, which is so pretty! We went hiking, picked wild blueberries and blackberries, saw some really pretty waterfalls, and jumped from rocks into FREEZING COLD WATER! Seriously, I thought I was going to die...it was so unbelieveably cold. We all jumped from a rock that was about 8-10 feet high, but David and Ben were crazy enough to jump from a waterfall that was 40-45 feet high...so scary!!! I am so afraid of heights that I could never jump from something that high. I had a hard time jumping from the small one. I am such a little chicken when it comes to heights! It was such a fun weekend, and now Ben and I have lots of camping equipment so we are going to go more often. We are going to become mountain people- haha! :)

David made foil pack dinners for everyone...each dinner had approximately .75 pounds of meat in them. We were definitely not going to starve out there in the wilderness.
David was kind enough to drive us everywhere because he had already been to the area before. The only problem occured when he decided to run into the curb made of sharp rocks, which instantly deflated the tire. Seriously, we could hear all of the air go out of the tire in about 10 seconds.
After changing the flat tire and driving down the mountain on a little doughnut of a wheel, we finally found a place that had a tire and could change it for us. All for only $15 and a peach! We were able to meet some pretty hilarious people at David's Auto Repair, which was the only auto place out of about 15 in Brevard that was open on Saturday afternoon at 4pm. Thank goodness they were or we would have been forced to drive 35 minutes to Arden, NC where the closest Firestone is located, which also would have cost a lot more than $15. I love small town America!!!
This is the 45 foot waterfall that David and Ben jumped from twice. They are crazy!!! Like I said, such a FUN weekend.
