Last Thursday, Ben sang in the law school talent show held at Mansion 462 on Franklin Street. He sang an opera piece called "Ombra Mai Fu" from Handel's opera "Xerxes." He was accompanied by Nigel, a fellow law student on the violin, Paul, a MAcc student on the bass, and Seema, another law student on the violin. They sounded really good! I was a proud wife! I rode the bus from our house to Franklin St. to have dinner with friends before the talent show, and some people were actually talking about them because they heard them practicing the day before outside the business school. It was cool! Go, husben, go! Hopefully, our children get his singing talent and not mine. But, I get it honest...my dad was kicked out of a church choir! The lighting wasn't very good, so some of the pictures are kind of dark.
Oh yea, my bball team won our game on Saturday, so we are in the championship game this coming Saturday. I won't be able to play because we are going to SC for Ben's granddad's 80th bday party. It will be the only game I'll miss all season, but I have faith in my team...they can pull it out! Here is a picture (thanks, Doreen) after our win on Saturday. I love playing with these people. It's so fun! Go team!
